Enrollment Process

Thank you for your interest in The Little School! Children are accepted as their applications are submitted, until the classes meet capacity. Any remaining applicants are placed on a waiting list. Registration opens early for current Little School families; open enrollment begins April 4, 2017.

To begin the enrollment process, parents complete an application form and pay a nonrefundable $50 registration fee. There is an Open House on April 2nd at 10am and it's a great chance to tour the school and meet our teachers. To formally enroll, parents register and pay the first monthly tuition payment.

Many surrounding towns, including Londonderry, Weston, Peru, Landgrove, Chester, Andover, Manchester, Winhall, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Baltimore and Cavendish, provide tuition support.

This is offered to all children in the Rainbow and Apple Rooms, through Act 166 Universal PreK.   At this point we are partnering with several different school districts and supervisory unions.  If you are unsure if you qualify for this benefit, please speak with Meghan. Children enrolling in the Apple or Rainbow Rooms for next school year you will receive additional forms, after enrollment, which will be sent to the corresponding school district.

The Little School also accepts funding from the Vermont Child Care Financial Assistance Program as well as offers scholarships to families who apply.

The Little School Financial Aid

Each year, fundraising and grants enable The Little School to provide financial aid to students. Recipients are determined by The Little School Board’s Finance Committee, based on need. Examples of need might include changes in employment or financial status, unexpected medical expenses and multiple tuitions. All applications must be submitted no later than Monday, May 1, 2017.

Applications will be reviewed after that date in strict confidence.  If you are interested in financial aid through The Little School and would like paperwork, please ask for it from the office.
